It's time for the upcoming election of the new Steering Committee of the Global Health Hub Germany for 2026 – 2028! For the fourth time since its establishment in 2019, members of the Global Health Hub Germany can now vote for representatives of their stakeholder groups.
Now it's your turn!
The Steering Committee is responsible for strategic planning, future development and content-related coordination. It is elected by the members of the Hub and ensures equal gender representation by having two representatives from each of the eight stakeholder groups: International Organizations, Youth, Political Sphere, Foundations, Think Tanks, the Private Sector, Academia, and Civil Society.
Over the next two weeks, you will have the opportunity to elect the Steering Committee for the Global Health Hub Germany for the years 2026-28.
The new steering committee will officially begin its duties on Wednesday, 1 July 2026.

Submit your Letter of Candidacy
Both your photo and your letter of candidacy will be published on the Hub website. This allows Hub members to get to know the candidates for the 2026-28 Steering Committee election better.
Note: The working language of the Steering Committee is German.
Step 2: Election process April/May:
You can vote for the new representatives of your stakeholder group over a period of three weeks in April/May.
All members of the 8 stakeholder groups are eligible to vote*. Each member has the opportunity to allocate up to two votes within their own stakeholder group. The candidates with the most votes per stakeholder group will be elected to the steering committee.
*You are eligible to vote if you have become a member of the Hub by 1 April 2026 and belong to one of the stakeholder groups.
What's new?
Until now, the steering committee had been composed of equal numbers of women and men (one woman and one man per stakeholder group).
At the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee amended its statutes. In the future, the following rule will apply:
1. If two women or non-binary persons receive the highest number of votes in their respective stakeholder groups, both will be given seats on the Steering Committee.
2. If this is not the case, the female or non-binary candidate with the most votes and the male candidate with the most votes will be elected to the Steering Committee, as before.
We look forward to your active participation and vote!
