Week of the Working Groups 2021
From March 22 - 25, 2021, the Global Health Hub Germany is hosting the Week of the Working Groups 2021. This week of events is organized in close cooperation with various working groups.

The overall focus of this event week, which is organized in close cooperation with the working groups (WGs) of the Global Health Hub Germany, is getting to know each other and encouraging cross-actor and cross-sector exchange between working groups and interested hub members on various global health topics. In addition, some working groups will present specific results from last year’s work.
The Week of the Working Groups 2021 offers all Hub members the opportunity to get to know approaches and objectives of the different working groups, to discuss concrete results of working group activities, and to become more involved in the various subject areas of global health.
In addition to various Working Group Meetings, further Webinar Sessions covering current debates in global health are planned as part of the event week. The week is rounded off by a joint opening and closing session.
The Working Group Meetings on March 23rd, 2021 offer interested parties the opportunity to exchange ideas with active working group members and to participate in the planning of upcoming activities for 2021. The following working groups will organize meetings as part of the event week:
- WG Schlangenbissvergiftungen
- WG Wertedimensionen der Globalen Gesundheit
- WG Partnerships for Global Health
- WG Global Mental Health
- WG Global Urban Health
In addition, several working groups will present results and discuss current topics in global health with experts on March 22nd and 24th, 2021. The following four Webinar Sessions are planned:
- Learning for the future: Outbreak, warning, and risk mapping
- Integrated and cross-sectoral interventions: Example Neglected Tropical Diseases and Malaria
- How does the Covid-19 pandemic affect the health and well-being of children? - Narratives from low-resource settings
- Pandemic Burnout – Die COVID-19 Pandemie und ihre Folgen
Sessions will take place in either German or English, depending on the working language of the working group. No simultaneous translation is planned.
